Dear Colleagues,

It is my very great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 20th International Symposium on Thromboembolism to be held at the Queen Elizabeth Conference Centre in Westminster, London on
18 and 19 October 2013.

We are very excited that this important annual meeting has now reached its 20th anniversary and continues to provide an unique opportunity to colleagues from around the World to focus on the latest developments in the fields of venous and arterial thromboembolic disease. As always our objective is to ensure that advances that are being made at the experimental, translational and clinical levels are put into the context of how we might best improve the outcomes for our patients at risk of thromboembolic disease.

This year we are once again delighted to be able to welcome a faculty of distinguished colleagues from around the World who have been responsible for some of the most important recent advances in this field. As always we will have a combination of plenary sessions, workshops, meet the expert sessions and debate which will help provide the unique opportunity for us both to understand the nature of the developments and how best they can be brought to bear to improve clinical outcomes.

I very much look forward to being able to welcome you to London.

With best wishes,

Lord Kakkar
